Idawhat Posted July 8, 2022 Share #1  Posted July 8, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) To protect the burros from flies and other biting insects I've purchased donkey fly masks for my burros. Not sure if the mask is to keep the insects off the face and ears or to scare the bugs away.  😊  Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted July 9, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted July 9, 2022 I've been around equines since I was about 7, but I've never seen fly masks. Â Not a bad idea. Â How well do they tolerate putting then on and having them on. Interesting, amusing, nice photo.

After that they seem to like not having flies and other insects on their face and eyes and just let you slip the mask on. It's funny looking on the burros with their long ears.
allamande Posted July 13, 2022 Share #4 Â Posted July 13, 2022 Almost creepy looking but a great idea, especially since they seem to be ok with the masks. Intriguing image. Ece
fotografr Posted July 14, 2022 Share #5  Posted July 14, 2022 I've also never heard of this before. Can they see through the masks?
horstkon Posted July 14, 2022 Share #6 Â Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) I already saw those masks here in our area in Germany. The animals have nothing against it. Edited July 14, 2022 by horstkon
