Broadway, NY.

( If this place has a different name, Stuny would correct me as I am not a New Yorker! 😉  )

Herald Square NYC.  1987

For those who don't know, this is close to the endpoint of the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.   Back then it was a major intersection. I think it's closed to traffic now.

Metlife looking south on a rainy day. You guessed it, M11 w/ Noctilux f1.2 wide open. I'm loving it for dreamy architecture shots so long as you don't mind the softness.

Broadway is closed to vehicular traffic, but 6th Avenue (to tourists "Avenue of the Americas") remains open.  The "Squares" in Manhattan are formed wherever Broadway, which runs at a diagonal tilted west of its north to south flow, crosses a north-south avenue.

I believe this is the Vessel, at the south end of The Highline Park in the redeveloped Hudson Yards.  They closed it a few weeks ago due to people jumping to their death.  I don't know if it has reopened.  The "gold" on it is real gold plate, a rather costly construction material.

Hi Stuart

I think it's actually copper (will post some colour (color) shots) and actually closed many months ago. It's also at the North end of the Highline.

I believe there is an ongoing tussle regarding raising the glass guarding. IMHO if it is indeed a "sculpture" and not a building per se I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

There was an interim period where you could access it as long as you were not alone. A slightly odd restriction positing that maybe in a kind of Hollywood-scenario-made-real all potential  "jumpers" were deemed to be oddball loners who had no friends...
