bitframe Posted June 28, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, does anybody have an Idea how to adjust the focus of a Summicron 90mm? the lens just doesn't reach infinity. I can take the front part off - see attached photo, but from them on it seems different to the other lenses I did adjust so far. Does anybody know the next steps so the I can free the Helicoid from the focus rotation? Welcome, dear visitor! wizard Posted June 28, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2022 Happened to me with several older R lenses. Reason is stiff old grease, which has the front part of the optical cell come off instead of moving the helicoid. Solution is not easy, as you will have adjust the lens to true infinity, and that requires a collimator. A regrease of the helicoid is necessary, too, as otherwise the problem will persist. bitframe Posted June 28, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted June 28, 2022 The regressing is not the problem. i have done this already with several lenses. i have the problem with the 90mm that I don’t know what parts I need to open so I can adjust the focus distance
