Trim away the bottom half, and a little from the left edge, say, just to include the second light on the horizon from the left edge. Possibly, a little from the right edge. Your suggestion is a good one and it does, indeed, create a different image. I had intentionally selected one of the shots I took that included the top of the hotel entrance and the flag in the lower left. I guess i was seeing that as kind of a slice of Americana. Looking at the crop you suggested, I find I do prefer it to my original. Welcome, dear visitor!
