The new gizmo works fine for TTL/HSS on the SL 601 (it did on mine, anyway). It also works on the M digital cameras (didn't try it, but that's what the Leica rep told me).

That is good news. I have the 601 and M11. Anybody else who can confirm the unit works on the 601? If so i will order one and hope the m11 compatibility will be added later.

The M11 is a new system...

The godox version works fine on M10 cameras, but not on the M11.

maybe some one can test the other cameras. and I am looking forward for some on camera flash that is compatible with the Leica mount !

yes, especially it's nice to see Leica and Profoto are working together to enable Profoto flashs;

this may be different with Godox

There is still no good option to get the Godox Trigger to work on M11.

Profoto says they concentrated on making the SL camera work with Profoto and other Leica systems will be added later. My new Profoto Control Pro for Leica fires S and M10 cameras but not an M11. That’s with firmwear updated for the M11. Commenters said the 1.6 firmwear had something for Profoto but the firmwear doesn’t mention it.

that is disappointing , Leica said that is was very difficult to get profoto to work on Leica cameras.

The profoto website had in the description that it was compatible with SL2 cameras. they have sanitized the website and now there is no information at all what cameras are compatible.

I assume that the M11 new sensor exposure reading made TTL complicated. Profoto and godox can get it to work.
The Leica/Nissin flash SF-60 works just fine.

I just got the new Leica Connect pro and I got it to work with the SL2 , M11 and M10M and the A2 and B10, even fired in HSS mode on all 3. I have just started to play with it and do not have a lot of time to fully test how accurate the flash output is. So far a little under exposed with the M11 and M10M.

Actually my M11 is working better than the SL2.

HSS worked instant on the M11, on the SL2 it took some time.

The overall performance seems to be buggy, was not able to shoot in manual mode with 4 flashes. The remote changed to settings after each shot.

Auto was possible, but who wants Auto mode with 4 flashes....

I have had the same experience with my SL2 where power is reduced to all flashes that are active when in manual mode using the Connect Pro. I sent a message to Profoto and they were able to reproduce the same problem and tell me they will try to fix it (hopefully soon) with a firmware update

I have Broncolor Siros lights. Is there anyone that would know which transmitter would work for this?

The Broncolor Rfs 2.1 Or  Rfs 2.2 for Nikon. No HS mode with the Leica cameras. Mine is the rfs2.1.

I used my new connect pro for the Leica SL2 and updated the firmware before use.  It works as a trigger just fine and also adjusts and shows energy levels set on the B10 flash also fine.  I like the modeling light on / off as well.

But... I only have an X sync on or off menu.  My menu for selecting 1st or 2nd curtain sync does not show up.  And ability to select HSS is no longer there.  Did the firmware update remove these as options on the unit?  Any one else know what the deal is or how I can find these settings?  I reset the unit to factory settings but still no luck on finding these options.

Hi Robb,

I just checked it: Menu for 1st/2nd curtain is still there (on page 3 of SL2's menu); there was never the ability to select HSS HSS is activated if faster than 1/250 sec (shows up on the profoto trigger and the flash with HI-S). Works fine

I'm referring to the control unit, not the camera.

My menu doesn't match the sync menu on the instructional video from Profoto.  But I will try a faster shutter speed to see if HSS lights up on the Profoto controller.  Thanks.

Thomas,

Looks like in manual on the camera when I go faster than 1/250th,  HSS does light up on the connect Pro Display.

So thanks for showing me that - that is good.  1st and 2nd curtain do remain selectable in camera.  So that is also good.

It just doesn’t match their drop downs on their trigger display lcd per their video.

I’ll try the HSS now outside to see how it does.  I def put things through their paces before using on a job…

Again, appreciate the help

Robb
