I know that some people have "shaved" the mount to make it bring up the 35mm lines, but I treat it more as a wide standard than a narrow wideangle, if you see what I mean. Framing is of course inexact - a fraction outside the 50mm lines - but ideal for street shots and other applications where perfect framing is not only not critical, but may slow you down.
