'Grid' screen live view?

Recommended Posts

Under "Capture Assistants" there is an option for "Grids" with two selections: 3x3 or 6x4. Once you have made your selection the grid overlay should show up on the "Live View" display.

Thank you ... I have now found the overlay in a Capture Assistant video as used for perspective control ... and it looks useful .. BUT  .. if I decide to buy an an M246 or M10 Mono I'd want to use them with existing shift / perspective control lenses ... I have 6 PC lenses ... 17mm to 90mm ... and use them with a LATTICE type grid overlay in live view ... which the M246 and M19M appear not to offer ... so I guess I'll wait for the rumoured Leica SL Monochrom ... and for the time being opt for an original M9 Monochrom ... but not to be used with my PC lenses

I'm not sure what a "lattice type grid" overlay looks like. These are the two grid overlays available in the M10 Monochrom when used with Live View or the EVF:

6x4 grid:

Please pardon the cheesy iPhone capture of the M10-M LCD. ;)

If I were doing architectural work, the 6x4 grid would likely be adequate for me. I use the 3x3 grid most of the time just to keep things 'straight enough' for modest wide-angle framing.
