Dear all,

I decided to start developing my own B&W films again.
I still have 12 year chemistery which was stored in a dry and constant temperature place.

. old powder developpers (ID11, Perceptol, Microphen). I imagine I can use them easily with no pb

. a set of Microfine, unused and sealed (a 2 step developper)

. I also for liquid Rapid fixer and stop bath (even wetting agent). Same age, liquid, but still sealed.

Do you know if I can still use the liquid components ?

Any hints appreciated

Thanks

Didier

Hi

I've just done similar. Developed a film in an old pack of Microphen I bought second hand, it was fine and the stock solution has not gone brown yet see 2nd photo.

Further to that I discovered an unopened foil sealed  bottle of Ilfosol 3, must have been 10 years old but perfectly fine. As long as there's no precipitation and it's clear. Be careful with the fixer as that will precipitate - normally yellow film on side of the bottle. But you can test the dev & fix with the leading edge of your film anyway - hope that helps, happy developing¬
