Jewl Posted April 7, 2022 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, I have applied the Match Technical Boop Soft Release to my M11 and was wondering (afterwards), whether there might be any issues with the compatibility to the latest M11 shutter? Want to avoid any damage if the shutter might have changed in the M11 as there are different versions with a short and long post available! Any idea? Thank you! Cheers, Julian

scott kirkpatrick Posted April 7, 2022 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2022 I have a soft release from my stock in the M11. It was purchased for use with M10 or M9, and it works fine. Threads are correct, and shutter button operation is just as usual.

Overall, mine seems to work with the M11 as well but don't know whether anything could break if the shutter is actually not supported... Herr Barnack Posted April 10, 2022 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2022 (edited) I wanted a soft release for my M10 Monochrom and was concerned about thread compatibility, so I got one made by Leica - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1059619-REG/leica_14010_soft_release_button_leica.html Problem solved. They come in other colors besides red, too. Edited April 10, 2022 by Herr Barnack
kivis Posted April 10, 2022 Share #5 Posted April 10, 2022 I have had problems with soft releases getting caught on a cord (not sure) and bending the internal stem of the shutter release (and it happened at a wedding shoot). So I went with this awesome soft release.
