stuny Posted April 4, 2022 Share #1  Posted April 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've posted the color version as well as black and white. But it was the colors that drew my attention, even more than how lovely Balke is. I was on my way to La Maison du Chocolat for a refill when I saw her sitting on a curb with a friend and asked for the photo. I picked up macarons for them both and gave the sweets to them when I retraced my steps. She's lovely in Black and white, but her colors! Advertisement Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Hi stuny, Take a look here It was Blake's colors that stopped me to shoot. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
HuntingSand Posted April 4, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted April 4, 2022 Color all the way, Stuart. We have many such folk here in the Bay Area, and it just doesn't have the same impact in b/w. 2
Gelatino Posted April 4, 2022 Share #3  Posted April 4, 2022 Stuart, La Maison du Chocolat is only in second position for me behind Patrick Roger. Infortunately for you the only shop he has opened out of Paris is in Moscow. As I assume you won't try to go there before some time, the only solution for you to taste his production is to come to Paris.
Louis Posted April 5, 2022 Share #4  Posted April 5, 2022 A great portrait. I like them both but the color version with those lovely tones add more to the picture.
stuny Posted April 5, 2022 Author Share #5  Posted April 5, 2022 Gelatino - It has been far too long since we've been to Pairs, but on our next visit we'll hunt up Patick Roger. BTW:  Pierre Marcolini in Belgium is rather good.
fotografr Posted April 5, 2022 Share #6 Â Posted April 5, 2022 Excellent portrait. I'd have to say color for this. The combo of hair, lipstick and even the blue strap hanging from her neck are too much to lose with the b&w version.
