MartinKop Posted March 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Is there any digital Leica that has only 50mm frame lines in rangefinder view when 50mm lens is attached? I'm struggling to find that over the net. Thank you in advance for you answer

jdlaing Posted March 9, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 9, 2022 No. There have been reports of frameline masks being modified but why would you want to?
MartinKop Posted March 11, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted March 11, 2022 Thank you for your response. I just would like to know if there is a Leica with only one frame in rangefinder view when the specific lens is attach. I am a 50mm guy, so that is what I was aiming for. To purify photography more but to be with digital. I guess you have to get use to it to have both frame lines at once: 35 and 50 or 50 and 75 in some models. a.noctilux Posted March 11, 2022 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2022 Most of digital Leica M has paired framelines, 28/90, 35/135, 50/75. I admit that the 75 in 50 is a bit "loud", comparing to "almost invisible" smallish brackets on some film M (like M4-P/M-A that I use). In use ( also for longer time with film M ), I just take the secondary framelines as framing guide. Leica had done well with recent LED illuminated framelines, timing out the LED, so no lines at all, very clean VF. Former ambiant light illuminated always shows the framelines. At first I was desappointed by no framelines, but with time, I appreciate the clean VF after LED timeout.
