SL Apo-summicron or not ?!

Personally and of course it's all subjective, I use my 50 APO summicron SL more than my zoom. In my opinion, it's hands down the best prime lens I've ever used. Leica reckon the Zooms perform as good as M primes, but go on to say that the APO summicron SL's are even better. I tend to agree, though would argue many of my M primes have a certain character which I really enjoy over the pin-sharp accuracy of the Zooms. Not better, just different.

I like prime lenses and I hate the weight of the Leica SL zooms, but they are phenomenal lenses if they fit with your work flow. For me, most of the time they don't. (size/weight).

For commercial work, I would tend to go armed with a zoom or two, with a couple of primes too.

I set everything set to manual focus too, but that's just me. The APO Summicrons work brilliantly in MF, despite fly-by-wire focus.

I had the 35APO as well, but swapped it out for the 50 because it's my preferred focal length. That was awesome too.
