Why do they need perpetual firmware updates? I understand for the first few months after release, there might be bugs to work out. But these cameras are working great now, they don't need any firmware updates in order to continue delivering the same great performance. The fact that they are (or may) be discontinued is completely irrelevant to their future utility - they will continue to function at exactly the same level.

Agreed. Once initial bugs or features are smoothed out with a couple, or three, firmware updates, I am done wanting, or needing, to update the camera.  I will probably upgrade my Ms, and I would have enjoyed a CL with IBIS or a full-frame sensor but, honestly as it is, it is a fantastic camera in every way so, I'll use mine until it no longer works.

No, no & no.

I owned the T many years ago and then the TL2 bought in May 2022 and very fortunately was able to sell it in Sep 2022. Those who are holding on to Apsc cameras and apsc lenses have to hold on. No choice. If you have a choice and unless the TL2 sells for $200, forget it. Don’t enter. Go Fuji instead.

I have TL2 and I don't think the same, we are so diverse that everyone has their opinions, today I would not change Leica TL2 for Fuji.

I have a TL2 and a Fuji Xpro 3…I still use the Leica more than the Fuji. Especially with the 23mm Summicron, I find the photos look much more naturally rendered than the Fuji, which tend to look over sharpened. I’ll use the Fuji for when fast AF is required for motion or low light, but for everything else it’s the TL2 all of the way.
