Pieter12 Posted January 25, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just went to charge the battery for my S006, and after a few minutes on the charger, both lights started flashing rapidly. The manual indicates this is an error, either charging time exceeded (obviously not that one), voltage or temperature outside of permitted ranges (neither the charger nor the battery feel warm to the touch) leaving short-circuit. I assume this is in the battery. Is there any way to check for this beyond just accepting the charger indicators? The battery had about 50% charge when I plugged it into the charger. The battery was working fine in the camera, but it did get hung-up when I was removing it. Can I still use it or is it time to recycle it? Could it possibly be a problem with the charger? Those don't seem to be readily available, new batteries are still for sale.
Advertisement Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Hi Pieter12, Take a look here S006 battery or charger problem. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
davidmknoble Posted February 14, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 14, 2022 @Pieter12, not sure which charger you are using. The small black one is readily available, but the dual charger is hard to get as it is no longer made. However, the dual charger will give more information during the charging function. In either case, trying a second charger will help determine if it is the battery or the charger. I put small stickers on the bottom of my batteries and write the date purchased on them so I know which ones are the oldest and which are newer. It helps me trouble shoot any charting issues to know how old the battery is.
