Depends where your garage is. If in Germany, sure, Porsche.

If if Canada, M is not even Lamborghini (they have somewhat service in Canada).

Leica M it just Lada here.  No parts, no service anymore in Canada (second largest country in the World).

I’m sorry Ko.Fe.    What are you saying here?  Leica are in Canada aren’t they?   Leica M is Leica M and the product isn’t changed by being in Canada.

Can you please explain the meaning of your post?

I'm sorry, too.

Leica is not in Canada. Porsche and Canon are Canada.

Here is nothing really to explain. No service in country, means no presence in this country.

And all of those cars clutches talks in the camera subforum.

I don't think Bruce Gilden has garage stuffed with porsches. And Winogrand was driving fast .. his Ms.

What about Leica MDa?

The MDa has no Meßsucher mechanism; as such, it is not a Meßsucherkamera.

The user has to either mount a non-focusing viewfinder on the hot shoe to have bright lines to compose by, or simply point the MDa in the  general direction of the intended subject and hope for the best.

The latter technique may inspire a new genre of photography - "Guess and Press."

So, it should be called a Da …

To call it an M is not accurate since it has no rangefinder - or any finder.

Perhaps Leica added the M prefix because it accepts M lenses.

But, yes - let's rename it.  I hereby dub this camera the Leica GP (for "Guess and Press").

Or [guy holds camera to his eye and says] "Mm??  I can't see sh@t thru this viewfinder!"

If he was using an MDa or M1, absolutely.  The rest is down to leaving the lens cap on, or just shit composition … 😉

 There is still hope.

I feel the same provided that the M is guided by less is more and form follows function. These are not mutually exclusive. I'm happy with the M10-R black chrome and hope Leica comes out with an M10R-P. I guess this is a wishful hope.

My contribution to the Porsche comparisons 😉

If cameras were cars, this is the Nikon Z9:

Okay. Let's concede that "M" means an optical rangefinder.  Lets hope Leica keeps making those.  But I for one would welcome a camera (call it Leica E11 or similar) that has an EVF and a M mount.  I think I'm not alone.
