Yup. That’s pretty much the same as my experience. Totally unacceptable garbage. Do yourself a favor and get a Zeiss Planar.

strange flare 🤥

As decades long Summicron 50 user, I'm afraid if these flare occured so often.

Are these flares on every frames ?

Can you shine a light in your Summicron to see if there are some haze or something not normal inside ?

 

Otherwise, I'm quite happy with Takumar or Super-Takumar lenses...

here F-E SuperTakumar 17mm on Monochrom and very flare-resistant with filter inside the lens group

No.From 4 films I shot only 3 frames have it.The rest are perfect.I thing that if I remove the UV filter they won’t appear.

I own Contax G2 and even with UV filter, but with hood

I never get similar results. I have purchased additional hood and I’m curious wether I’ll have the same problem.
