I’m a Lightroom Classic guy but this might get me to switch. I loooove grain. It’s the one thing I miss from my film shooting days.

I agree, and IMHO the grain in hdmesa’s image here looks very natural and film like. I’ve tried C1’s grain function and it is good, albeit I’m more a Photoshop user and find the grain sliders when I process DNGs in ACR to also be very effective.

Anyhow - back to the thread of “M11 images”!

My construction project is complete, and my next project is "Bars Eye Like".

The challenge is when I am in a bar, I have a few drinks and then 1. everything looks photogenic. 2. I don't get motivated to photograph, I'd rather have another drink.  So frankly, an M camera is an extra challenge. Did I focus? Is 1/90 able to compensate for the drinks?

So I am still taking test shots. This is a 35mm APO set on f2  focus on the couple, 1/90 and ISO on auto, and the camera chose ISO 640. Mixed lighting was OK for the M11. Originally I had wanted to do B&W, but a friend on this forum argued to go color too. The challenge is then to find enough bars that have colors other than dark brown. This bar is not dark brown. The bar top is illuminated BTW.

The second phase is to capture the total ambiance as in this shot, and then use the 35 APO on close focus to get very close to an individual drink. My test shots are yet to be submitted.  Any bar shooting suggestions are welcome.

Jack
