75mm Summicron, I don't know which Leica M, perhaps a 240?

I am really impressed with the Summarit 75 (2.4) and regret so much that I foolishly sold my 35mm summarit a few years ago for a summicron...

Leica M-A, portra 800

Lovely, lovely lens. When I traded in my M262 for the SL2-s I almost sold it. Keeping it was one of my better decisions. And I don’t make many 😂

M11 + Noctilux 75. This focal length is new to me. It's been a fun challenge to take advantage of the Noctilux's 0.85 focus throw to decide what the most important part of the portrait is on the fly. Click through for hi-res.

Lovely.  I love this lens. Incredible character.

+1.

I own three m lenses and all are amazing (24mm elmar, 35 & 50 luxes), but none of them have this paintish look.

The 75mm Nokton is in my opinion the best modern lens Cosina has ever created (haven't tested the 50mm f1).

I have the 50 1 as well but haven’t really had a good time to test it throughly.  That being said first impressions of the 75 got my attention right away, even in home test shots.  So did the 35 1.2 Nokton which to me renders like a 50 Lux.  Both the 75 and the 35 have this powdery creamy out of focus rendering whith a sharp but “polite” focus. I just have to give the 50 a good drive for a couple of days.

All this said I don’t want to take away from your actual capture, which is spontaneous and beautiful.  It somehow almost feels like an environmental portrait because of how much character and life your subject brings into it.  You don’t really “see” the background but you can almost feel it. It’s cinematic and dynamic.

Great shot.

Thanks, sir. Please keep me updated whenever to explore that 50mm f1.

I owned a 50mm 1.2 Nokton when being a sony user and it was a pretty decent lens.
