75mm f2 APO Summicron, on an M262, from today.

I'll often practice using a specific lens, especially the 75mm and 135mm focal lengths that can be the more challenging to use to keep my eye/focus ability "sharp" with these lenses.

Wasn't this one of the "poster pictures" for the Summarit line on Leica's own website - once upon a time? It sure rings bells in my memory (which is the signature of a great photo!)

BTW, thanks Sebben! I've been thinking about the need for a general 75mm thread. I've used a boatload of them in the past 16 years. APO-Summicron, Summilux, both Summarits, Voigtlander f/2.8, f/1.8, f/1.5 (my current 75).

As Ralph Gibson said in a recent interview with Dr. Kaufmann - "75mm is the new 50!"

And a return of the favor.

Cinco de Mayo Eyes, Leica 75mm Summarit f/2.4 at f/2.4 on M10 - click for larger.

Was it?  I don't actually know.  If it was, they never asked me about using it, LOL.

Edit:  Thanks for the nice comment by the way.

Maybe I just saw your review or website sometime. But Leica had a similar "guy in helmet" image - possibly as far back as the M8 era.

Playing around.

This is moss on top of a post (I cannot think of the right word) which is used to support a gangway out to deeper water where larger boats can pick up passengers.

The top of the post is probably about 1ft (30cm) wide so this is not the lens at minimum focal length.

These lovely images are a boost to my mood, this morning. I am grateful for being able to see every one of them. Thanks.

I bought a pre-owned, well-preserved Voigtlander 75mm LTM, some time ago, and have yet to take it for a walk-about. I really should remedy that situation.

Make sure you post when you do 🙂
