01maciel Posted January 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I still hope there will be some improvements for my vintage M10. So I checked the Leica site for a new firmware. It seems the old firmware download site has been removed. The new site lists the firmware for all M10xy models without any noticable sort order over four pages. There is no release date which means I need to go thoroughly through four pages to find out if a new firmware for my camera model has been released. That's clearly a disimprovement. What firmware do you have now? 2.6.5.0 is on page 2.
Al Brown Posted January 4, 2022 Share #3 Posted January 4, 2022 They have completely removed any FW for M9 and M8... luckily it can still be found on some file/driver hosting sites...

01maciel Posted January 17, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted January 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) That's funny. I just checked the firmware version of my M10. It says the current version is 2.20.48.38. I downloaded the the firmware M10-2.20.48.38-Customer.FW in Jan, 28 2021 to my computer and I remember the only change was the new preset for the Noctilux 50mm f/ 1.2. The version 2.20.48.38 is not available anymore on the Leica website for download. Does it confirm the M10 is a vintage camera 4.5 yrs after market launch? At least it is a very nice discarded piece of scrap metal.
