Dan sorry to hear that the M9 is not working like it should.

As suggestion, in your place I'd search for M240 family which is not "loved" (why so cheap in sh for Leica M).

I have many of the M240 family, really they are very good and flawless.

A bit heavier/bigger but in use, nothing I can complain.

M262 is the closest to M9, even with the end-cut-out very smart M in aluminium, no video ...

I enjoy the colour I get from the Leica M9, last nights raw files have required almost no processing

I don't think I'll get that from the M240
