Long exposures with ND filter

I tried some long exposure photos with My Q2 Monochrom today under already gloomy conditions (it’s the solstice here in Scotland) and a 10-stop ND filter. I was disapppoined the results came out very dark - especially as the combination worked well in the summer.

Looking at the results now, it looks like the shutter speed did not go beyond 30s today. I would have expected it go up to the specification limits of 60 seconds? What shutted speed should I be able to work down to?

Looks like a need to remember that there's a hard limit there.

Welcome to the forum.  I'm sure that the camera signalled underexposure... The trick is to activate the histogram in the EVF, so you can judge exposure precisely.

Correct exposure is always up to the photographer - the only thing a camera can do is provide some tools.
