T w/Summicron-M 50 DR with the "goggles" removed.

😱 ...goggles removed... 🥺

Seriously, though, this eloquently shows the capability of the DR Summicron even without the close-up goggles. A remarkable lens and a lovely, delicate picture.

Looks like Il Grigio there is checking to see how much time he has left on the meter. 400 years?

Crow in tree.

Testing my "new" 135mm Elmarit f2.8 with goggles.  The focus patch is displace upwards but seems to be pretty accurate.

Leica MP w/135 Elmarit on Ilford HP5+ at ISO 1600 dev in Rodinal 1:25 for 10.5 min at 20C and scanned with Plustek 8200 and Vuescan software.

I couldn't be happier that the temptation won out, Dave. You're off to a flier and I'm sure you're going to increasingly enjoy that lens.

Hi Phil,

I need it like a hole in the head but for $225 I couldn't pass it up! It's easier to focus than my 135 tele-Elmar but for serious wildlife I think I'll stick to the Sony 100-400mm with very fast auto-focus.

Who knew? That makes what looks like quite an unwieldy combination, but  the quality is superb! And, you know, Leica on Hasselblad 🥳!

I don't use Leica glass on the 'bald very often but once in a while for fun.  The 24mm Elmar is great for city shooting murals, graffiti because it's so small and light but you have to use the electronic shutter so you can't have any rapid movement in the frame.

I started a Flickr group "Hasselblad with an M" to show off photography with Leica  M glass on Hasselblad digital cameras. Only a couple of members so far but would like to have more people post their work.

Well there you go - I had no idea you could do that. I'll check out the group on Flickr - thanks for that Dave.

Ran across this thread I haven't seen in a while; here's a Rose of Sharon blossom.

M8, 135/2.8 Elmarit-M, closest focus at 1.5m (4.9 feet).
