stuny Posted November 3, 2021 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2021 Lovely. If you have the chance, the Botero Museum in Bogota is excellent.

The artwork in this picture is a street decoration in my neighborhood and many people, mostly women, stop to take a picture and to make jokes about the small size of its masculine part. stuny Posted November 3, 2021 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2021 There are two huge Boteros (one male, one female) on the ground level of the shops at Columbus Circle, each by a separate entrance. The masculine part has been touched (hands, lips, tongue - really!) that the dark bronze patina is gone, showing much lighter metal in that area. Likewise the charging bull on Bowling Green, in the Financial District of NYC. I'll PM you some photos.
Louis Posted November 3, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) Before the pandemic, we had a very interesting exhibition of Botero work in Miami Beach, on Lincoln Rd., with dozens of his work. There is a place in Miami, they are making ( modeling!) all the Botero's statutes to sell I guess! I was very surprised when I saw it for the first time. It looks like an old car dealership! lol This is the one in my neighborhood that I mentioned above.
