Advertisement Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Hi mikozia, Take a look here Shoppers. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotografr Posted October 25, 2021 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2021 What was it about this photo that made you decide to post it? As Henry has pointed out, many of your photos, like this one, are too distant to have any interest.
Prosophos Posted October 25, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2021 I kind of like it (though I do understand the criticism of being too distant). Something about those "balls" makes it look like we're witnessing a chain reaction just took place between the man <----> ball 1 <----> ball 2 <----> woman; and the man's gaze connects everything. Not sure if that was @mikozia's intent, but that's how I see it, LOL. —Peter.
mikozia Posted October 25, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) Thank you Prosophos. This photo was actually intended to show the diversity of races and ethnicities in the U.S.A, I personally have experienced many incidents involve myself being Asian, including some at this forum. My husband is a retired LAPD officer and he told me about the famous "Can we all get along?" from Rodney King, the center of what started the Los Angeles Riot. I sincerely hope that this "Trend" will not get any worse than before. Edited October 25, 2021 by mikozia
fotografr Posted October 25, 2021 Share #5 Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) Please do not confuse racism with legitimate criticism. My comments have absolutely nothing to do with your sex or ethnicity, only with what you post. If you were trying to show diversity in this photo, wouldn't it have been a good idea to get close enough to the subjects that viewers could distinguish race? It also might have helped to put something about diversity in your title. "Shoppers" does not indicate anything about diversity. Henry Taylor Posted October 25, 2021 Share #6 Posted October 25, 2021 Thank you for your point of view Mikozia but I don't think playing the race card will help. Comments made on this forum I'm sure were made with intent to improve your photography skills and had nothing to do with discrimination. Off the record, my wife is also Asian and my two daughters, the older is married to a Marine who happens to be from Nicaragua. My 2nd daughter isn't married but adopted at birth a Mexican boy who is as much as my grandson as any other grandchild . 2
