SetGoose Posted October 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all! I just noticed after a day of shooting (and battery dying) that the battery release lever is missing. I’m unsure how to release the battery now and unsure if there is a fix. Or how it even happened… This is for an SL2. Thoughts? Edited October 18, 2021 by SetGoose
Advertisement Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 Hi SetGoose, Take a look here Replacement Battery Release Lever?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Paul2660 Posted October 18, 2021 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2021 Time to send it to Leica. I can see any way to release the battery without the lever. It releases a spring deep inside the body. Hopefully Leica can turn it around quick. I guess in the future I will cover mine with gaffers tape to make sure it won’t drop out. The entire battery design is the SL2/Q2 is IMO one of the only weak points of the cameras. Paul

Will be keeping an eye on mine for sure.
