Tips on using rodinal

I did some test shots with FP4 - developed in D23,ID11 and Rodinal.  The differences were not enormous. D23 gave the lowest contrast and best tonal range.  ID11 is my standard developer and had slightly more contrast and a bit less detail in the shadows. Rodinal (1+25) gave very similar results to the ID11.  Not a great deal of difference in acutance - maybe slightly more grain.  Perfectly acceptable unless doing big enlargements. I have tried it with HP5 but not so keen on the results with that as it gets a bit grainy.  Ok up to A4 though.  I have a bottle as a standby and for stand development.
