I am coming back to this thread...

I went through many systems and cameras including most Leica cameras, but also other stuff.

As of today my most used system is the SL system, because it is so flexible, I really like the user interface and handling and the IQ to be very good for a FF sensor. With the 50/1.4 L lens it even comes somewhat close to MF look IMO.

Eventhough my S kind of collects dust, I just can't let it go and I still believe it is the digital system which can produce the most "perfect" IQ for my taste, color, bokeh, tonality, detail.

I sometimes have problems with AF (only 1 point, and sometimes it is fooled and I get slight miss focus), and I am turned off by lens size (specially if I want to carry more than one lens), but , no, I won't let it go. So what I just decided...to use the S more often again.

Once I bought a x1dII system and thought to replace the S (considerably smaller (with the 45 for example)), but it doesn't feel as instant to use, and then the 80/1.9 became my most liked lens, and with the 80/1.9 it is not smaller than the S any more.

So in my case...for now the S will stay

I have gone to only using my S(007), sold most of my M lenses and rarely take them out as the quality (M(240)) is not as good as the S.  Looked at other systems, downloaded the demo raw files for the X1D mkII and was disappointed with their malleability, wrote to Hassleblad asking if they had any better files but they did not reply 😉  I had a Fuji XT-1 for a month and hated it, disliked the menu and vf, the GFX does not seem too different.  Leica have the GUI near perfect for my use.
