photoray Posted August 28, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just got a new Q2M and can't get the latest Lightroom Classic (Adobe Cloud Photo Plan) software to show the camera dng or jpeg file images on my M1 Mac OS Big Sur 11.5.2. "Preview Unavailable For This File" shown after import from sd card into LR 10.4 Camera Raw 13.4. Sorry if this has been asked before ... I searched but didn't find it. If another software is better than LR with the Leica Q2M, I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks in advance.
Advertisement Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Hi photoray, Take a look here Q2 Monochrom Lightroom Won't Import Files M1 Mac / New User. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted August 28, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 28, 2021 LR Classic working for me ... but not M1. And jpg from any camera is a jpg ... if LR cannot read it something is indeed wrong. Actually I use C1 LR and PS ... the shadow and highlight recovery is much better in C1 ... once edited and saved the file opens in PS an 16bit TIF ... those are imported into LR from the folder where they were saved. Again ... might uninstall and re-install LR on your M1 ...
photoray Posted August 29, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted August 29, 2021 Thank you for the reply. After about 30 minutes with Adobe on the phone, they did a remote takeover of my M1 Mac and we discovered that full disk access needed to be enabled. After that, everything worked fine.
