I went to my aunt's house in New York and worked with her in a photography studio. I had uncomplicated lab duties, and in my spare time, she taught me how to shoot. My aunt and I spent a lot of time among her photographer, musician, writer friends. We visited almost every place on this list of historic jazz joints around New York City. That's when I fell in love with this whole creative atmosphere and went to the Academy of Art. This creative world has become my second home, and I still love to go out to restaurants to talk to interesting people.
