All black paint items have gained around 20% since this auction earlier this month. The 50 E46 was priced in average at 5600 and it just went to 7K now.

There is black paint madness on the market.

Thankfully, i managed to purchase my black paint dream a couple days before the auction. It’s being delivered this Monday. Can’t wait to see it in real life.

Yes there is:

Sickkkk, this was way below before… increased significantly

If the black paint Leica lenses are too expensive... a Nikon lens looks also good on that camera:

Where are you guys finding your M10-R BP's? It's been stuck in my head for a while now so I am tempted, but I have not been able to find one anywhere!

I bought mine when m11 started to leaks, now is very hard to find

I bought it brand new last year when they were releasing them new (before they announced they were out of stock).

I walked into my Leica dealer and he said he had 1 regular and 1 black paint. So when he asked which one I wanted I said, I might as well just go for the black paint. If I’m spending $8,000 why not another $1,000.

this is the first day I took it home

it was so shiny!

also, I recommend getting contact cleaner if you ever buy one, and get rid of all those stickers on the bottom if the previous owner never did.

I doubt at this point you’ll be able to get one brand new.

FWIW, the Voigtlander black paint brass lenses match the black paint of the M10R perfectly.

So if anyone is looking for a 28 Ultron or the new 35 Ultron, get the black paint brass versions.

Is anyone actually USING their 10R BP out in the world?

For the first time in my rather long photography life, I'm reluctant to use a camera I purchased. :(  I bought a 10R BP about 8-9 months ago and, other than taking a few shots with it - it has stayed in it's camera bag in the house.  I have owned 6 Leica cameras (3 in the film days, 3 digitals over the past several years) and used all of them out/about.  They got knocked around like any tool does.  I didn't worry about them at all.

But I look at this BP and worry that it might get a scratch or a rub mark. :(  Pretty darned bizarre and I'm working to overcome my fear and just USE the darned thing!

Maybe I need some sort of therapy!  🧐

I've got a bit over 25k shots on mine. Would you consider that using? I did buy it (trading in my M10) with the intention of using for a lifetime, and the 11 didn't change my mind on that in the least. A great companion to the M10M as well.

I am using my M10-R BP nearly every day.
Mostly with the 50mm Summilux pre-ASPH Black Paint, but since a few days also with the new Summilux 35mm Steel Rim.

… and indeed, it makes a nice combo with the M10-M, so no need for different batteries.
BTW, I sold my M11 to replace it with the M10-R Black Paint.
