I bought some Wasbi batteries, not as good as the Leica originals. I did get 2 with a nice USB charger, for around $30 US. The charger is small and light great for traveling. I always carry a second bettery with the CL anyway.

Panasonic GX8 battery works fine in my CL

I use Panasonic Lumix DMW-BLC12  - same battery as Leica - Same factory - different label !  It will cost you $49.. The  Leica version $85  ..you decide.  I have used them for years with great sucess.

I also successfully use this Sigma battery BC 51 whose characteristics are identical to the BP DC 12. They are delivered in a small imitation leather case :

Yes, I think, but more expensive than Sigma which is also guaranteed.
These Panasonic, Sigma and Leica batteries seem to come from the same factory ... 😉

I  have 6 batteries of various brands. I had to throw the Leica one into the recycling bin last week as it was swollen up. The only one of the bunch to fail.

That is unusual,  Jaap. Any clues as to the reason? I presume it was far from new?

I've got the Sigma BP 51 for 25 euros , 1/3 of the price of the Leica battery !
