rramesh Posted June 20, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been using a SF40 for quite some time with my Leica M10-P and have been quite pleased with it's performance. I am looking to purchase a Nissin i40 (second hand) to be used as a slave flash in wireless manual mode, which I believe should be fine as only the center pin is used. Could someone confirm if this flash will work in manual mode, if connected directly to the camera hot shoe, and if it will lock into place? astrostl Posted June 20, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2021 I have the MICRO FOUR THIRDS i40. It works, but it does not lock.
rramesh Posted June 21, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Isn't the Leica SF40 a rebranded Nissin i40 for Nikon? Edited June 21, 2021 by rramesh
rramesh Posted June 22, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) Well, I got the Nissin i40 (Nikon Version). Works like a charm. Of course, only in M mode. But it can be triggered wirelessly. I use a Phottix Strato II which has a hotshoe TTL pass-through and I can mount my SF40 on it.
