Image comparison 35 Summilux Asph with 35 Summicron APO Asph

Someone asked about this in the review thread, but I thought it might be of more general interest.

Images shot on a tripod with focusing via EVF, Camera was M10-R.

In each group there is 35 summilux at f1.4, at f2 and then APO at f2 followed by a screenshot of 100% magnification of the focused area from Lightroom (f2 shots)

All shot DNG, with minimal exposure adjustment where necessary.

It would be great if you can shoot a chrome subject (like a chrome faucet or bumper) under moderate sunlight to see how APO shines?  Other person did a test on the 50APO VS 50LUX, the result was unexpected.

Thanks, this is just a quick observation, disregarding purple fnigihng idnetified in other thread [points to APO] there is hardly any difference. 

In actual shooting with M246 I find FLE very sharp for my taste for most situations, prefer Summaron 35mm f2.8.

FLE and APO performances are very close IMO, except on the roof, where the difference is quite visible...

thank you Jono. To my eye the Summilux FLE holds up quite good, even if the Summicron has the edge it doesn't make the Summilux look bad.

it’s always been a great lens, and it still is! I think the differences are pretty much what you would expect.

I think no. The belgium coast is my secound home since about 40 years.

Yust the old and lonly boy (my demented wife died one year ago) was sitting on the balcony together with a france red and an assortment of cheese, smoking a big Havanna, looking over the beach, the see and into the sky. The weather is changing rapidly as you may see below. The proof: A picture taken with my M 10-R plus Summicron 28 mm.
