I think the title would have been better for the CL, T, TL and TL2 cameras, especially TL2 which shares the same sensor with CL. So those of us who have these cameras can participate as well.

@jaapv

Where says:
"Post your Leica CL images taken with M-mount lenses here"

I should say:
"Post your Leica CL, T, TL, and TL2 images taken with M-mount lenses here"

In this way we would all participate with total freedom and we would make the thread more attractive.

What do you think?....

And how do you all you M users focus?  I'm imagining if that was me it would be focus maginification as that seems to be the closest to focusing with the rangefinder patch?

The closest to the RF patch is focus peaking i would say. Fast and good enough focusing aids with RF superiority in high contrast environments. Focus magnification plays in another league IMHO.

The manual approach, when you've gotten enough practice to do it, is the most effective and safest. (Recommended in many books and courses).

Aids for manual focus, it depends a lot on the camera you use. For example, in Leica TL2, which is the one I use the most, I try to see the figure sharp and in focus on the screen or in the viewfinder and if I want to make sure, I enlarge the subject to x3 or x6 and if I see it sharp and do not move the camera, the photo is secured.

It is recommended and whenever possible to always use the same camera to learn to know and love it and thus obtain the maximum performance in both AF and MF. When this happens, Manual (MF) can be as fast or faster than Automatic (AF), if you master the camera you learn to guess the focus distances, with which, everything that is in that distance will be well focused. In a soccer game with a telephoto lens and focusing at infinity, everything in that distance will come out in focus, you will only have to worry about shooting fast (better in burst) and that the camera does not move.

I just recently added a Leica CL to my collection, after being impressed with the X2 for its weight and greta performance. There is really something 'Leica' in the pictures that i cannot witness in similar camera's. It is just wow, like the lady who was really late for a wedding as i was focussed on just the church, she just entered the picture:)
