Thanks for the very nice pictures and blog, you have captured the atmosphere really well.

Driving all the way from Helsinki to the Polar Circle is the boring part, so a good alternative is to use the over-night car-sleeper train service from Helsinki to Rovaniemi or Kolari.

Thanks, initially we thought of taking a flight to Ivalo then drive to North Cape. But since we are really curious about rural areas and the remote landscape in winter, we decided to drive instead. However, you are right, it's actually also a bit dangerous because we often found ourselves in the middle of nowhere and if our car broke down then we are in real trouble.

Hello. I have the Elmarit 28mm f2.8 asph. But it is a 11606. I am embarrassed to say that I am a geek and prefer the 11677 hood. Some Leica users say that the 11606 is more compact and better, or that the 11677 has better image quality, but I don't know. I'm a nerd who chooses cameras based on looks, so the 11677 hood looks shiny to me, because the 11606 hood is plastic! Will there be a new metal hood for the 11606? If not, I'll have to get the 11677 after I give up the 11606. I know it seems a bit silly but LOL I'll wait for your reply.

"That’s why I like taking stills myself. They’re my personal scribbles in a way. But I do love film. And I love the collaboration. So I’m different like that."
"I don’t take a lot of photographs. I spend a lot of time trying to take photographs. But I can go days and not take a single frame. And then one day, I’ll go out, and I’ll find something. And I go, ‘Well, yeah.’ And then I’ll come back really happy, because I’ve got one photograph that I really like."
