An unusual lens

Dear Forum,
I wonder if anyone knows what this lens is.
What is Carl Zeiss Jena Nr. 3315317 Tessar 1:4.5 f=4.5  with a red "T" after that?
It has a base wider  than that of Leica thread mount lenses, and smaller than M42.  I mean the diameter of the base of this lens is smaller than M42 and bigger than LTM.  I mean it will not fit into either of those spaces: too big for one, and too small for the other.
Might this lens have been taken out of another camera?
Thanks very much for your help.
