Is it because you are cropping heavily or is the lens not very sharp? I am still experimenting with this new-to-me lens. Subject matter and movement, shutter speed, dof, light intensity and quality .. all matter to end result. I did not realize all of them were 90% crops, then it does make sense. I am thinking about getting a more telephoto lens for the L mount so the 70-200 or the 70-300 look interesting.
