NJUSA1 Posted April 22, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 22, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve read that you can sync your iPhone to the Q2 as a shutter release. is there an instructional link available? I’m old school so if I’m wrong about that it’s ok to yell at me. Cheers, Steve

marchyman Posted April 23, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) Yup, I do that with the Leica FOTOS app on my Q. I'm assuming it is the same with the Q2/Q2M. My complaint on the Q (other than battery use) is that I prefer shooting in Manual mode and when using the FOTOS app the camera goes into autofocus mode regardless of the setting on the lens. At least I can tap on the screen of my phone to set my focus location. Perhaps the Q2M is different. Edited April 23, 2021 by marchyman

Hmm, I’ve never tried but surprised that the app overrides the lens being physically turned into manual mode. Must bear that in mind when I’m looking for hyperfocal distance in landscapes!

Nope 😭 The Q2M does the exact same, ie it unconditionally (and regardless of "physical setting") forces you into AF once you connect via the FOTOS app 😭
