Good Evening All!

I was so excited when the SL2 was going to tether to Capture One. Now it can be my second camera. Lately, it will not tether to Capture One.I'm on the latest version of C1, and current v2.0 firmware for the SL2 and I use a TetherTools USB C cable and other cables. The camera seems to see the computer, but the MacBook Pro doesn't see the camera. I am on Mojave. It has worked, but it's very intermittent. I get a Camera Error posted in the C1 Log. I'm not sure what else to try. I did a clean install of C1 on the most recent update. Also, it doesn't work on my MacPro. Can I reinstall the firmware? Thank you!

Am guessing, but I think that's your problem right there.

The released-last-week version of C1 claims to finally have tethering working with Leica mirrorless cameras.  Looks like they only tested it with the latest Mac OS (Big Sur, 11.2.3 or 11.2.2)

You probably still an SD in the camera! take it out and try again..

If that still does not work enable disk access in the preferences

I'm using C1 14.1 (the release of last week) and Big Sur with SL2 and SL2-S, and both work with live view once you remove chip #1 from the camera.  There are some limitations.  Autofocus isn't implemented yet, and my attempts to set a drive setting from the computer haven't worked yet.  Cable doesn't seem to be an issue (although it has been in the past with tethering systems).  I'm using the same cable that I charge phones with.  Comparing Leica Fotos with C1 tethering, there are things that each can do that the other has not.  I hope they are paying attention.

Same here (only SL2). And I even don't have to remove any SD-card to get it work.

I read somewhere that the cause of the chip #1 problem is a timeout that occurs in the PTP protocol when there is too much stuff on the chip.  Since I routinely have 500-1000 shots saved on chip #1, backing them up each day but leaving them on the chip, I run into this.  If in a studio environment, you reformat your chips daily, this may not be an issue.

So yes it does work! First I formatted both cards, and it worked immediately on the MacBook Pro. Also with the card removed. However it still doesn't work on the MacPro (Catalina) but I am one version older on there with C1. Doesn't matter really since I only need it to work on the MBP anyway. Thank you all again!

only the last 2 updates work with Leica tether.

Catalina works fine, I have 2 Macs on it
