septo Posted March 5, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been looking into using back button focus on my Q. When pressing Zoom button for AFL, focus occurs, but when it is released focus remains on that subject and shutter button will not focus anyplace. The manual states that back button focus only occurs when zoom button pressed. You can focus elsewhere by repressing the button however. When using AEL or AEL/AFL function however, button must remain pressed to work. Has anyone else noticed this or have I misread the instruction manual? Unfortunately, to reaccess shutter button focus I have to dive into the menu in order to cancel the AFL process which is a pain. This is not the case with my Fuji.
