Regarding my question: I would like to know if there is any sign / evidence that the focus snail (that part which triggers the range finder mechanism) is moving towards the sensor while turning it past 0,70m.

Maybe the word snail is wrong here, see the attached picture what I mean with 'focus snail'.

What you're showing here is the sloping focus cam of a Chinese lens i believe. Little chance that the 35/2 apo has the same but it will move toward the sensor at infinity i suspect, not on closeups. Just a guess though.

The lens cam moves away from the sensor as focus distance is reduced.  So, if the 0.3 meter lens' cam keeps moving away from the sensor past 0.7 meters, the body's cam follower would reach the end of its travel and simply stop following the cam, as the lens cam kept moving away from it, IMHO.

This answer to you question is YES. There is not one evidence. There are two. But it’s late at night here. Allow me to post photos to illustrate in the morning. But yes, the snail/mount of my 35 APO differs in two ways from my other M lenses.

So as I got my dog back today, I also got my freedom back. I am now one of the lucky few (dog owner) to be allowed to roam the empty night streets of  Paris as I wish. Probably the only Parisian dog & 35 APO owner. So I took it for a quick spin at night during the poo walk before going to bed. Here are all the very non inspiring photo I just took with it on the 3 min walk around the block. It starts in a boring elevator ride, 30 cm away from the mirror. Ici c'est Paris....
