cba20k Posted February 27, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the M-forums. Forgive me if I got it wrong! Wondering if there are any caveats to calculating focus distance when using an M-mount lens on L-Mount cameras when using the M-Adapter L. Is it still as simple as, for example, using the focal plane mark on the SL2-S?
Advertisement Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Hi cba20k, Take a look here Calculating Focal Distance with M Lenses on L-Mount Cameras. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pop Posted February 27, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2021 Yes, it is. The M adapter L does not change any of the optical properties of the lens used. The focal length remains the same, whether you use it on an M or an L type camera.
