Looking forward to the performance. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Advertisement Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Hi TonyS, Take a look here I'm not sure, but is this the M Cron 35 APO?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
frame-it Posted February 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 19, 2021 that pic is from the Leica Japan webpage so it probably is what it says on the lens
horosu Posted February 19, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 19, 2021 It looks suspiciously similar to this one from a couple of years ago : Welcome, dear visitor! padam Posted February 19, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) No, this lens looks to have a built-in hood like the APO M 50, just a bit bigger. Edited February 19, 2021 by padam 2
wattsy Posted February 19, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) If it is true, the new retro Noctilux will no longer be the Leica must-have. Soft/blurry will soon be out again and super sharp high resolution will be back. 😀 Edited February 19, 2021 by wattsy 4
Dennis Posted February 19, 2021 Share #6 Posted February 19, 2021 I can imagine the price, somewhere between the 35 Cron Asph and the 50 APO ... Let me guess price: $6,900 ... 🤔
padam Posted February 19, 2021 Share #7 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm pretty sure it will cost just as much if not more than the 50 APO, the APO SL 35 is also pricier than the APO SL 50. Even the standard 35 Cron is 3700$ already, so I expect it to cost over double that. Or the 35 Lux FLE costs 5900$ and there will be a healthy price gap between those, too. SiggiGun Posted February 19, 2021 Share #9 Posted February 19, 2021 The rumor concerning the upcoming Apo35M isn't new. I guess the launch is pretty soon
Simone_DF Posted February 19, 2021 Share #10 Posted February 19, 2021 Whenever this is released, it would be nice to see a comparison between this and the Voigtlander APO

That's not really how it works around here. There are already plenty of sharp and contrasty enough 35mm Leica lenses for creative purposes. This, however, has APO stamped on the front and is therefore an immediate must-have. You can expect a blog piece from Jono anytime soon where this is described as the best ever 35mm, blah blah. 7

BradS Posted February 19, 2021 Share #14 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Just looking at the photo, I'd guess it is a APO-Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH Is this a trick question? 😕 Edited February 19, 2021 by BradS fix punctuation.

It is on the Leica site as a teaser image, so it is real, the product name was leaked earlier as it was embedded already in a firmware update.https://jp.leica-camera.com/var/leica/storage/images/media/media-asset-management-mam/global-international/photography/m-system/m-lenses/high-speed-prime-lenses/rmmttwme/teaser/overview-teaser-normal/5353995-2-eng-MA/Overview-Teaser-normal.jpg

UliWer Posted February 19, 2021 Share #20 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) vor 4 Stunden schrieb Rick in CO: Anyone speculate whether the serial number would be current to 2021? The serial number and the filter size very obviously on the front of the lens look like the present (non-"Apo") 35mm Summicron-M. It differs a lot from the style of the Apo-Summicron-M 1:2/50mm asph.
