CFAGil Posted February 2, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Leica added exposure preview deactivation option for Q back in 2018. This option is available on CL and SL. I wonder if this option is available on TL2? Many Thanks. Kind Regards, Gil

Gregm61 Posted March 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2021 Exposure preview is an option you can turn on and off for manual exposure mode with the CL, but as far as I can see it's hard-coded on in Program, Aperture priority and shutter priority modes. I'll often de-activate in M mode if I'm shooting indoors with a flash for ease of composition.

On my CL and SL, I can definitely turn off the exposure preview to allow for composition and focusing(with manual lenses) when using a flash. Unfortunately, the exposure preview on/off option is not available on my TL2. By default the exposure preview is always on in M mode (i.e. PSAM and can't be set to PSA). I wish Leica can do a firmware update to add this feature like what they did to CL, Q and SL back in 2018 . I can see that flash is getting less fashionable especially among the Leica users. I do use flash a lot regardless if it is day or night for my shooting work. I found a cheap Godox flash performs far better than my Leica flash.
