Very interesting, my copy’s never displayed bokeh like that - May I ask what camera you were using (not that this would be a main reason for the difference)?

Hi, I used the M9. My Leitz Summicron has ser# 3440333.

Hi, had a 35 Summicron v4 for a short while !

Used it on the digital SL :

I wanted to try the v4 and then I simply preferred my 35 Summicron  8 elements, its rendering and how it feels in hand  .

With M10 and 35 Cron IV, wide open, only very slight clarity added

Even after the toughest winter, the world do eventually get back to normal...

... and yes, the IV can of course flare, like all lenses... but who cares... or is it even rather nice? ☺️

But it doesn’t affect contrast and definition as we can see in all the texts on boards and signs
