Beautiful image, @jonoslack!   You are making me want this lens even more than I already did.

You're killing me over here... 🙁

Isn't it because since you changed your avatar you are more sensitive to some typos that transform the "cron" in "corn"?😜

Leica M240 with Noctilux 0.95.  These shots are from a walk few days ago in the National Mall, Washington, DC during which I revisited the Sculpture Garden of the Hirshhorn Museum; more about the museum is here.  This specific work, King and Queen by Henry Moore, meets the visitors upon their entry to the Sculpture Garden and because of its size, location, and beauty, it establishes a special presence.  More about this sculpture is here and about Moore's work in Hirshhorn is here.

I find the focal length and the narrow DOF of the Noctilux very helpful in isolating this beautiful work from several other imposing works also exhibited in the same small area of the Garden.  Further, the characteristics of this lens makes wonder if the same motif would benefit from the Karbe designed Summilux 75mm (and in monochrome).  Please let me know of your thoughts.

PS: It is noteworthy that this is my second posting for this work; the earlier post was in February 2021on a different thread in the Forum, here.   Resolution improves considerably when all shots are viewed on the light-box

Tasting ice coffee for the first time. After shooting mostly with older glass lately, it is a relief to be able to shoot wide open again, without any worries at all.
