Yes give it time. When I bought mine new in 1991 I had been shooting pretty exclusively with a V2 Summicron so this lens far surpassed my expectations, but then over the years as I purchased additional lens I still found I preferred this AA the most. Then when I bought the new FLE when it was launched I only kept it for a year or so as it was never as sharp on center, the transition from in focus to out is more interesting on the AA, and then the out of focus rendering for certain I preferred on the AA as it is more artistic and has a bit more character, yet without the aberrations and the jarring the FLE shows in its out of focus area. Some of the differences are subtle but then you will take a shot and the differences really show themselves and all for the good. Lovely family by the way, endless potential photographs.

Thank you so much.

It's exactly how I feel so far. Can't wait to test it more.

Sorry for the over saturation. Still havent figured out how to export my photos to work with the new forum update.

Lovely image. Doesn't look over-saturated on my screen. Uploading shouldn't change colours.

@Steven Damn, the clarity of this lens is from other universe alright. Congratulations on owning such an exciting lens, fortunately the price is completely beyond my imagination of spending such amount on a lens, so I don't actually lusted to buy one. Phew!

I'm loving it so far. It's magic.

I’m afraid, but in practical use I cannot notice any difference to the SLX ASPH beside the horrendous price.

I understand.

But it's the kind of thing you can only understand when you see it in real life.

Leica brought this lens to market when I was a student and I couldn‘t afford it (3.000 EUR!). I continued suffering from the image quality of the SLX 35 pre-ASPH (worst lens, I ever owned...BTW). A few years later I bought the SLX 35 ASPH. and I have been happy with it for the past 25 years. Actually the IQ doesn‘t differ in practical use from the AA. But I understand, that the owner has to feel a worthy difference. Good to hear that you consider to sell it, if any need occurs to get your money back. That‘s  why I can understand you now! 😀
