Anyone heard anything further on the firmware update? I'm a first-time Leica owner, so curious how they typically roll these out.

I received confirmation from Leica that a firmware update will fix it, but no timeline was given.

I had a similar issue re hot pixels about a month ago but on a new Q2 (non M). Leica UK suggested they had no given time frame but were hoping for end March.

Do you have a URL?

I cannot find the download link for Q2 Monochrom Firmware update 1.1. Only Q2's new firmware is accessible.

Edit: I see that it is downloadable from https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2021/04/firmware-update-for-q2-and-q2-monochrom-adds-pixel-mapping/

Anybody successfully installed it?

The update fixes stuck bright pixels at higher ISO on my Q2. I ran Pixel Mapping at higher ISO (ISO 800) because that is where I saw stuck pixels. I do not know if it matters.

I did a pixel mapping before each shooting. Unfortunately it has no effect on the hot pixels. They always remain in the same position.

Sounds defective then if they don’t move. Maybe set ISO to 12K and try pixel mapping again to see if that helps.

But do note that on the monochrome sensors, if you grossly underexpose in low light AND try to push the exposure and shadows back up, you may see all sorts of noise. These monochrome cameras are the best things out there for low light, but they have their limits, too.
