nice rendering... maybe it is just me again, but distortion seems to ruin otherwise interesting photo....

Again, maybe I'm obsessed with distortion...

I hadn’t noticed until you mentioned it, though it doesn’t offend me at all. You shoot a wide angle lens you accept its characteristics, no?

Maybe I just used not appropriate words... Didn't mean to offend. :wacko:Yes indeed I really like shooting wide angle lenses. Currently Color Skopar 21 and Cron 28. I was very interested in SL Cron 28 but based on posted photos I'm not so convinced anymore. I will stick to the M Cron version.

I'm really happy you like and enjoy SL Cron 28. And again, you clearly demonstarte how good SL cron is especially in near focus distance. Photo of bee on the flower is just marvelous. 👍

L-mount lenses are all corrected for distortion in camera by default, even in real-time when you look through the EVF. The only way to ‘turn off’ distortion correction is to view the raw DNG in some specialized raw processing software (not lightroom) that lets you remove any distortion correction, if applied. In general, the APO SL primes have pretty much no distortion, regardless of focal length, even if you jumped through hoops to remove any digital corrections.

Hey, no worries! I didn’t mean you offended me at all, just that the distortion in the image doesn’t bother me.

And thanks, although it’s not my lens (or camera), was just trying out on one of Leica’s test drives. ✌️
